Solar Eclipse 2017

Shane and I kicked off our adventures with a mini road trip to North Carolina to see the solar eclipse. After 14 long hours and some dark and winding roads, we made it to this charming Bed and Breakfast that allowed us to pitch a tent in their backyard:

We loved our stay at Creekside Paradise! The owners, Cynthia and Jeff, hosted an eclipse party for us complete with snacks, mimosas, and sun-viewing equipment. Feel free to check them out their place: https://www.bedandbreakfast.com/nc-robbinsville-creekside-paradise.html

We wore our special eclipse glasses so we wouldn't go blind:

Sans glasses, we could see the shadow of the sun on the ground:

Happy Solar Eclipse! If you missed this one, be sure to check out the next totality in North American in 2024!
