On the way home from Robbinsville, NC, we decided to brave the Tail of the Dragon, a mountain pass bordering the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The drive, popular among motorcyclists, consists of 318 heart-stopping curves over a stretch of 11 scenic miles. We were ready to put our Rav4 to the test!
But first, supplies:

Since Shane and I were traveling by car rather than motorcycle, our supply stop consisted of some chili hot dogs and dragon photo ops.
